What You Need To Know About Mold

PLEASE REACH OUT AT THE FIRST SIGN OF MOLD!

Not only is mold responsible for damaging your house, it can also take a toll on your health.

A few ways to recognize mold are by sight and smell.

Sometimes you will see blotchy stains on your pipes, walls, floor, carpet, or other objects – especially if they are tucked away in dark and damp corners.

Other times you will be able to sense the mold by a damp and musty smell in the air.

However, these are NOT the only ways to notice if your home has mold. If you have any of the following health symptoms, it may be a sign of mold:

  • Nasal, Sinus, or other Respiratory Issues such as Asthma
  • Headaches
  • Sore Throats
  • General Fatigue/Malaise
  • Persistent Flu-like Symptoms
  • Irritated Eyes, Ears, Skin, or other Allergic Reactions
  • Fevers/Chills
  • Dermatitus
  • Memory Problems

In the Baltimore area, basements are an ideal spot for mold to grow. You should check this area of your house first for signs of mold as they are often cooler, darker, and damper thanks to poor ventilation and higher humidity.
